Shipping & Delivery

Learn about our shipping options, delivery times, tracking, and international customs policies.

Do you ship internationally?

Yes, we ship worldwide to most countries.

During checkout, eligible countries will be automatically shown in the dropdown list. If your country doesn’t appear, it may be due to shipping restrictions or import regulations related to swords.

How much does shipping cost?

Shipping fees vary depending on the destination, size, and weight of your order. Exact shipping costs are calculated during checkout and displayed before you confirm payment. We sometimes offer free shipping on select items or during promotional periods.

Do you offer express shipping?

Yes, express shipping is available in many regions. Delivery time and pricing for express options will be shown at checkout. Express shipping typically reduces delivery time by several days, depending on your location.

How long does delivery take?

Standard international delivery usually takes 7 to 15 business days. Delivery times can vary depending on customs processing in your country, remote delivery areas, or international holidays.

Orders with engraving or special customization may require additional processing time before dispatch.

Will I get a tracking number?

Yes. Once your package is shipped, you'll receive a tracking link via email. This allows you to monitor your order’s journey from our warehouse to your doorstep in real time.

Do you ship to PO boxes or military addresses?

Due to the length and classification of our products, we do not ship to PO boxes or APO/FPO addresses. Please provide a valid physical address to avoid delays.

What countries do you NOT ship to?

We currently do not ship to Australia, New Zealand, Russia, or some countries in the Middle East and Africa due to customs restrictions, import bans on bladed items, or persistent delivery issues.

This list may evolve based on geopolitical changes or carrier policies.

Will I have to pay customs fees or import taxes?

Depending on your country, customs duties, VAT, or import taxes may apply. These charges are not included in the purchase price and are the responsibility of the buyer. Customs clearance procedures may also add to delivery times.

Can I choose a specific delivery date?

We do not currently offer the option to schedule deliveries.

However, you can use the tracking number to estimate delivery time and make arrangements with your local carrier.

Maintenance & Storage

All the essentials to keep your katana clean, sharp, rust-free, and safely displayed or stored.

How do I maintain a carbon steel katana?

Carbon steel katanas require regular upkeep to prevent rust and maintain edge integrity. After each use, or every few weeks if on display, gently wipe the blade clean with a soft, dry cloth. Then apply a thin layer of oil such as choji oil or pure mineral oil using a lint-free cloth or tissue. Avoid touching the blade with bare hands, as natural skin oils can cause corrosion over time.

Should I oil the blade, and how often?

Yes. Oiling is essential to prevent oxidation. For display swords in dry environments, oiling once every 1–3 months is usually sufficient.

In humid areas or after handling the blade, we recommend oiling immediately. After each cutting session, always clean and oil the blade without delay.

Can I use household oil or WD-40 instead of sword oil?

We advise against WD-40 or common household oils. WD-40 contains solvents that may degrade metal finishes over time and attract dust.

If you don't have choji oil, use cosmetic-grade mineral oil (unscented baby oil without additives).

Do not use food oils such as olive or vegetable oil, they spoil and damage the blade.

How do I sharpen my katana?

Sharpening a katana is a highly skilled process that requires traditional techniques and experience to avoid damaging the geometry and hamon of the blade.

We strongly recommend sending your sword to a professional sharpening service.

Improper sharpening may ruin the blade’s edge, balance, or polish permanently.

Can I clean a stainless steel katana the same way?

Yes, but with less frequency.

Stainless steel blades resist corrosion better than carbon steel but can still oxidize if exposed to moisture.

Clean and lightly oil them periodically, especially if handled. Note: Most stainless steel swords are decorative and not suitable for cutting.

How should I store my katana?

Store the katana horizontally with the edge (ha) facing upward to avoid unnecessary stress.

Keep it in its saya (scabbard) in a dry, ventilated area, ideally in a display stand. Avoid damp basements, attics, or airtight containers that trap moisture. If stored long-term, inspect and oil the blade regularly.

What’s the best way to display a katana safely?

Use a proper horizontal or vertical sword stand.

Place it away from direct sunlight, heaters, air vents, and children.

Make sure the blade remains lightly oiled even while on display, especially in humid climates.

Never display a carbon steel blade without a protective coating of oil.

Do I need a maintenance kit?

Absolutely. A traditional sword maintenance kit typically includes choji oil, uchiko powder (polishing ball), rice paper, and a soft cloth.

These tools are essential for proper cleaning and long-term care.

If you own a carbon steel katana, investing in a maintenance kit is not optional, it’s part of responsible ownership.

About Our Katanas

Explore the types of swords we offer, how they’re made, and what makes them truly authentic.

What types of swords do you offer?

We offer a wide selection of katanas including battle-ready swords for martial arts practice, decorative swords for display, training bokken (wooden swords), stainless steel replicas for cosplay, and folded steel katanas for collectors. Each product is clearly labeled with its intended use.

Are your katanas battle-ready?

Yes, our battle-ready swords are forged from high-carbon steel and built with full tang construction.

These are capable of real cutting practice (tameshigiri) when properly used and maintained.

Be sure to check the product description to verify if the model is sharpened and suitable for use.

What materials are used for the blades?

We use a variety of steels depending on the model. Common choices include 1045, 1060, and 1095 high-carbon steel, folded steel, and occasionally T10 tool steel.

Stainless steel is used for decorative swords only. Product pages specify the blade composition and characteristics in detail.

Are your katanas handmade?

Yes. Our blades are handcrafted by skilled artisans using traditional and modern forging techniques.

While some parts are finished with machines for precision, every katana is assembled, polished, and inspected by hand to ensure quality and consistency.

What’s the difference between carbon steel and stainless steel swords?

Carbon steel swords are functional and can be sharpened, polished, and used for cutting. They require regular maintenance to prevent rust.

Stainless steel swords are corrosion-resistant but brittle and are meant for display or cosplay only. Never use stainless steel blades for tameshigiri or martial arts.

What is a full tang katana and do you use it?

A full tang blade means the steel of the blade extends through the entire handle, providing maximum durability and control.

Yes, all of our functional katanas are full tang unless stated otherwise. Avoid non-full tang swords for cutting practice.

Are your swords sharpened?

Most of our battle-ready swords come fully sharpened and ready for light to moderate cutting.

Some models offer the option to choose between sharpened or unsharpened versions.

Always verify the product specifications before purchasing.
